What I'm up to..

Well, after creating those few fire effects that I did. I started getting more in depth with it. Trying to really understand what created the effect I was looking at and absorb it so I could create it on the fly. Well that lead me to basically start all over again. I procured a massive amount of tutorials and I have been immersing myself in them. I'm starting back at the basics..not trying to jump in with fluids like I did but I am starting with particles and realizing how powerful they really can be. It's amazing how many things I am finally understanding as a whole instead of just a fraction of it like before. With this new knowledge I think I can create even better effects..now I just need to find out how to make them look realistic texture wise.

Been a while...

So It's been a long while since I last posted. Been some ups and downs but that's of no consequence. I am back and making effects again, this time using maya instead of my trusty 3D studio max. It's fun and I can't complain. Below are a couple of my first renders for the fire element.

currently...

It has been a while since I have posted. Currently I am part of a team working together in a 3D competition, this is the first time I have been really excited to work since completing serenity. I got 4 months to create something amazing. Oh, and I will. On top of that I am working with an amazing program called Houdini, that does so many things that its frightening. But that's really all that's going on. More to come later.
